Tạo hình dạ dày cho bệnh nhân nặng hơn 100kg

(Dân trí) - Anh Nguyễn Văn T., cao 1m73, cân nặng 115kg ở Hà Nội vừa được phẫu thuật tạo hình dạ dày để giảm cân sau quá trình ăn kiêng, tập luyện không thành công, gây ảnh hưởng xấu đến sức khỏe toàn thân.

PGS.TS Trần Bình Giang, Phó Giám đốc Bệnh viện Việt Đức cho biết, hiện bệnh nhân này đã được xuất viện sau 5 ngày nằm hậu phẫu. Với thân hình quá khổ, ăn kiêng, tập luyện vẫn không thể giảm cân, bệnh nhân này đã được các bác sĩ tư vấn thực hiện phẫu thuật nội soi tạo hình dạ dày ống đứng điều trị giảm béo cho bệnh nhân béo phì. Theo TS Giang, phẫu thuật là một phương pháp điều trị béo phì hiệu quả nhất.

Trước đó, từ năm 2007, tại bệnh viện Việt Đức, phương pháp phẫu thuật đặt vòng thắt dạ dày qua nội soi đã được ứng dụng cho những bệnh nhân quá béo và cho tới nay có tới trên 70 trường hợp có trọng lượng trung bình 103kg được phẫu thuật thành công.

TS Giang đánh giá, phẫu thuật đặt vòng thắt dạ dày qua nội soi là một phương pháp đơn giản, ít tai biến, kích thước của đai có thể điều chỉnh giãn nở để nới rộng hoặc thu hẹp dạ dày hơn. Tuy nhiên, với phương pháp này, người bệnh phải tuân thủ một chế độ ăn uống hết sức khắt khe, kham khổ khiến người bệnh gặp phải sự mất cân bằng, mệt mỏi, quá trình hấp thụ dinh dưỡng từ thức ăn bị đảo lộn, khiến cho cơ thể suy nhược…

Lần này, các bác sĩ đã dùng phương pháp tạo hình dạ dày ống đứng. Theo đó, với những bệnh nhân béo phì cần giảm cân, các bác sĩ sẽ cắt một phần dạ dày để làm hẹp dạ dày khiến khẩu phần ăn bệnh nhân giảm đi so với trước phẫu thuật. Phương pháp này cũng khắc phục nhược điểm của đặt đai giảm béo trong khi đó việc giảm cân nặng cũng tương đương với với đặt vòng thắt dạ dày.

TS Giang cho biết, đặt đai giảm béo và tạo hình dạ dày ống đứng là những phương pháp giảm cân hiệu quả, nhanh gấp 10 lần các phương pháp ăn kiêng, tập luyện... Tuy nhiên đây không phải là phương pháp phẫu thuật giảm béo thẩm mỹ thông thường mà mục đích chính là chữa bệnh do tình trạng béo phì nặng nề ảnh hưởng đến sức khỏe toàn thân. Vì thế, bệnh viện Việt Đức không triển khai đại trà phương pháp này mà chỉ được áp dụng với những bệnh nhân bị béo phì nặng có chỉ số BMI trên mức 40 (với người châu Âu) và trên 35 (với người châu Á) không thể giảm cân được bằng các biện pháp khác hoặc bệnh béo phì đang gây ảnh hưởng nghiêm trọng đến sức khỏe người bệnh. Ngoài ra, những người béo phì có nhưng mắc các bệnh như đái tháo đường, tim mạch, thoái hóa khớp... cũng có thể được chỉ định.
